From the Desk of Talia Murphy
Dear Friends,
Just how important is chemistry in a relationship? I know everyone says picking a mate should be a logical, pragmatic process that makes sense, but I think there's something that goes beyond the logical, rational when choosing a love match.
If you don't feel that edge and don't look forward to seeing him or seem to fall into a general malaise after being with him for an entire evening, it's just time to move on. That may sound shallow to many, but for me, it seems to be the only option. Why waste their time and yours? Their next match could be with the person of their dreams, so let them move on!
At this point, I know how to make myself happy and I can support myself. So, if I spend time with someone, there has to be that spark. Why settle for someone that just takes up your time? It is just far too precious to waste.
If you do happen to fall madly in love and at some point must be their caretaker, then I think it will be far easier. Not that the loss will be easier, but that you'll want to hold them close and keep them around longer and they'll know that in their heart of hearts as well.
Happy Hunting,
Talia
